Cost
Reduction Analysis: Oily Wastewater Reuse
Currently, a plastic products manufacturer collects and disposes of
approximately 2,000 gallons per week of oily wastewater. The oily wastwater
is collected primarily by mopping the production floor where it is common
for hydraulic oil leaks to periodically occur. The oily wastewater is
pumped and disposed of by an approved waste service at a cost of $0.33
per gallon.
The proposed
EnviroSep Fluid Recovery System will allow for disposal to Sanitary
Sewer or reuse of 90% or greater of the cleaned oily wastewater permeate.
The result is that only 10% or less of the oily wastewater would require
disposal by the waste disposal service.
The below
listed savings are based on operation of the EnviroSep Fluid Recovery
System only 50 days per year.
